Processor fan vibrates

My computer is just over a year old and the processor fan has developed an annoying vibration. I tried tightening the screws but it made no difference. Can I stop it making this noise?

Only by replacing the fan with a new one. In budget PCs, corners are cut to keep costs low and unfortunately the fan is one of the components that suffers. After a while, the bearings show signs of wear. Eventually it will stop working altogether. Any store that sells components for system builders and upgraders should have replacement fans in stock, or try Maplin Electronics (www.maplin.co.uk). For information about fans to fit various types of processor visit www.coolermaster.co.uk.
